CECIL COUNTY — State fire officials are investigating a fire that destroyed a vacant home in Cecil County.
Firefighters were called at about 7:27 a.m. Monday to the unit block of Taylor Road in Rising Sun after a passerby saw a house on fire.
Officials said it took about 30 minutes for firefighters to get control of the fire. The fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage.
An origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation.
