After responding to a call for service, a Sheriff's Deputy gets taken to task by a kid in a dance-off.

On Monday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Vic Ekanem responded to a home for a 9-1-1 call that turned out to be accidental.

Upon his arrival, Ekanem came into contact with some kids who appeared to be timid by the presence of the police at their residence. The Deputy engaged in conversation with the children to insure they were okay. As a result, Ekanem got himself into a situation he couldn't dance his way out of; One of the kids challenged the Deputy to a dance-off.

The Los Angeles County Sheriffs' Department posted some highlights of the competition on their Facebook page.

According to their Facebook Page, the responding deputies were assigned to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department's S.H.A.R.E. Program, which stands for Stop Hate and Respect Everyone. The program was reportedly launched in 2008 and aims to reach grade school students who're entering high school, that may have been exposed to behavior viewed as hateful and intolerant.
