Repeat offender sentenced to 45 years in prison for armed robbery and other gun charges

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore City State's Attorney Office announced the sentencing of a violent repeat offender.

According to the city's top prosecutor, 27-year-old Michael Williams was sentenced to to 45 years in prison for Armed Robbery and other firearm charges.

Court documents refers to a late February 12m 2018 night, when police went the scene if a robbery in the 300 S. Anne Street in Fells Point. A victim told officers that Williams and three others pointed handguns at him and took his money and headphones before leaving the scene.

Police said their helicopter found Williams and another man, hiding in a back yard in the 500 Block of N. Milton Avenue. When officers went for the arrest, he threw the gun on a nearby roof.

The gun stared firing after hitting the roof, causing officers to duck for cover.
