Students an staff at Catonsville Middle School were evacuated Friday afternoon after reports of an unusual odor inside of the school.
The Baltimore County Fire Department says some students are being treated for non-life threatening symptoms from the odor, but they are still not sure what it is. The odor was reported around 10:17 a.m. and the school was evacuated about an hour later.
Later in the afternoon, officials reported there is no hazard.
The school was evacuated as a precautionary measure as crews ventilated the building to try to identify the problem.
The school closed for the day at 1 p.m. due to the odor.
