DUNDALK, Md. — A woman is dead after crashing overnight Friday on I-695 East in Dundalk.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. near Cove Road.
Police say the woman drove her Chevy Cobalt off the road and struck a guardrail.
The car then caught on fire, trapping the woman who died on scene.
Her name hasn't been released. Right now it's unclear what caused her to drive off the road.
The crash caused the right lane and shoulder to close for about three hours before reopening around 8 a.m.
