HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. — A medical emergency resulted in a driver striking a gas pump Tuesday morning in Havre De Grace.

Members of the Susquehanna Hose Company responded to reports of a single vehicle crash at about 7 a.m. According to a Facebook post from the department, a driver suffered a medical emergency prior to crashing into a gas pump at the Royal Farms Store #194 on Pulaski Highway.

Luckily the crash did not become a larger, more dangerous incident as the safety valve to the pump was closed. The company said no additional hazards were present at the seen. The driver was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
