BROOKLYN, Md. — A 39-year-old Baltimore man has been arrested and charged for a deadly assault outside a Brooklyn Bar.

Back on February 12, Anne Arundel County Police were called for a fight at Milt’s Rendezvous on Church Street.

Arriving officers found 45-year-old Edward Young outside suffering from a head injury.

Investigators pieced together that Young had been in an earlier physical altercation with Jerome Thomas, inside the bar.

Things eventually carried out onto the parking lot.

Police say video evidence shows Thomas's family member punching Young to the ground. Afterwards Thomas allegedly continued punching Young in the upper body while he was down.

On March 1, Young died from his injuries. An autopsy ultimately ruled his death a homicide.

Thomas was arrested on August 19 at his home in the 4900 block of Pennington Avenue in Baltimore.

He's currently being held without bail on charges of second degree murder, manslaughter, assault, and reckless endangerment.

Anyone with more information should call homicide detectives at 410-222-4731 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
