An 18-year-old man from Pasadena was killed in a crash early Sunday morning when the driver of a car driving him and two other teens crashed. The Anne Arundel County Police Department says officers responded to the crash scene before 5 a.m. Sunday at Ft. Smallwood Rd near Devere Drive. Police investigation shows the driver of a Ford Focus was driving northbound on Ft Smallwood Rd at a “high rate of speed.” As he approached rounded a curve near Devere Drive, he lost control and left the road, striking a group of trees, causing the car to roll. The 18-year-old in the front passenger seat was ejected from the car. Police say the 20-year-old driver, a 16-year-old male passenger, and 18-year-old Dylan Stumpf, all of Pasadena, were rushed to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe speed and alcohol may be factors; they are still investigating the crash. The rest of the identifications will be released upon their next of kin being notified.
