Governor Larry Hogan revealed Thursday he was diagnosed with skin cancer.
In a press conference in Annapolis, he said the superficial basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma was found on his face during a visit to the dermatologist.
He is having outpatient surgery on Saturday to have the cancer removed.
This is unrelated to his previous cancer treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma. He said that remains in remission.
The Governor does not expect to miss any work due to his cancer treatment.
