Community members and local businesses came together to throw a holiday party, known as the first Holiday Shop Day, for the students of Marley Glen School.
Marley Glen School is a unique and one of kind school teaching students with wide ranges of disabilities and special needs. Many of the students need intense medical care, have little verbal communication, and have difficulty functioning independently.
The Holiday Shop Day took place in the gym of the school and featured a DJ, refreshments, raffle prizes, community resource booths, and even a silent auction.
The event allowed students to shop for their families, free of charge, from a huge selection of merchandise. They were also able to spend time with Santa Claus, enjoy the fun with their family members while bringing in the holiday spirit.
