BALTIMORE, Md — The new Broadway show that opened Tuesday night at the Hippodrome Theatre has a few problems, but it is all part of the act.

'The Play That Goes Wrong' is about an acting troupe that is trying to put on a murder mystery, but everything does not go as planned.

The show is billed as "what would happen if Sherlock Holmes and Monty Python had an illegitimate Broadway baby."

So far the actors are not only enjoying the play, but also the audience and the theater itself.

"It's a beautiful venue," said Michael Thatcher, actor. "It's a huge space, but it's very intimate, which is perfect for our show because there are a lot of little things that go wrong that the audience can see. It was a raucous house last night when we opened."

If you attend, you'll want to pay attention as soon as you arrive. The actors say things start to go wrong before the play even starts. It's recommended to get to the Hippodrome at least 15 minutes early.

The play will be in town through Sunday. You can get tickets here.
