Due to an anticipated court order, Medicare-eligible retirees will see their prescription drug coverage extended past Dec. 31, the Department of Budget and Management said.
The ruling means those potentially impacted retirees do not have to enroll in a Medicare Part D plan for 2019. Instead, they may continue the coverage they are currently using into the new year, maintaining the same premiums they currently pay.
