BALTIMORE — She's spent nearly her entire life in the pediatric intensive care unit at the University of Maryland, Children's Hospital, and now 1-year-old Tessa Agnoli is heading home after spending more than 330 days in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Tessa, who was born with a congenital heart disease, received her heart transplant in February 2019. Tessa's mother, who has been sharing updates on Tessa's journey, shared on her Facebook page that her daughter is doing well since returning home and is spending time with her big sister Noelle.

The University of Maryland Children's Hospital shared a post saying that they will miss seeing Tessa every day, but they are "proud and amazed by [her] strong will and spirit!"
