18-year-old arrested in connection to multiple burglaries, vehicle thefts in Harford County

BEL AIR, Md. — An 18-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to multiple burglaries in the Harford Square area.

Between June 6 and 11, several residential homes in Harford Square and the Windsor Valley Apartments were burglarized, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Officials say the suspect stole electronics, jewelry and money. The suspect also stole a dirt bike and a 2019 Ford Fiesta from one of the homes.

Following pro-active patrol of the areas, deputies were able to obtain a photograph of the potential suspect and located the stolen vehicle. While securing the vehicle, deputies observed a man walking in the area matching the suspect's description.

Officials pursued the suspect and were able to identify him as Irijah Hananiah Harris. Harris was subsequently arrested, and a search and seizure warrant was executed at his home where deputies were able to locate several items of evidence were found.

Harris was identified as a suspect in three motor vehicle thefts, five burglaries and one attempted burglary.

The investigation is still ongoing and detectives are working to determine if Harris is connected to any other similar cases in the area.
