Life was going great. They were raising a family in a nice home, and then life happened.

The loss of a paycheck became one bad luck moment following another, and their family ended up homeless.

That's when a Harford County guidance counselor came to their rescue.

"God, he's gonna get us through it. He loves all of us, and he's gonna bless all of us. We just have to wait for that time," son Darius Moore said.

In no time, God answered Darius' prayers as he showed WMAR's Jamie Costello his new room. Now, he says, he can finally call this place home.

It was just four days ago when his mom Crystal was worn down with worry. The family was homeless at a Motel 6. Now they have found a heavenly brick front home thanks to school counselor Susan Marco and company.

"It feels great. I was thrilled to see the outreach of the community and a lot of response from the community, that's what really made a big difference for me," Marco said.

Susan had gotten in touch with the ARC Northern Region Family Services, when the word was put out about the Moore family, the Harford Family House came knocking to help.
