BALTIMORE — A dolphin was spotted in the Inner Harbor as announced by Mr. Trash Wheel on social media.

According to the Waterfront Partnership, dolphin sighting have been increasing because they live in the Chesapeake Bay.

"While it is not typical to see them in the Inner Harbor, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the dolphin is somewhere it shouldn’t be. In fact, because of the recent drought, the Harbor is saltier than usual, which has resulted in an abundance of all sorts of fish that dolphins feed on including menhaden and rockfish," a Waterfront Partnership spokesperson said.
