The Maryland Public Service Commission is set to hold a hearing Thursday to discuss BGE's proposal to raise electric and gas base rates.
The hearing, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at the Legislative Services Building in Annapolis, will be the first of five sessions on the issue.
BGE asked to increase electric rates by $120 million and gas by $79.5 million. If approved, the measure would result in a $7 increase in electric bills and an $8 increase on gas.
