There is a new security procedure at Baltimore–Washington International Airport (BWI) and you don't have to do anything for it.
The airport announced Wednesday it now has Passenger Screening Canines. The K9s will walk around the airport with their handlers and sniff out bomb making materials on travelers.
"We're basically looking for the suicide bomber," said Damon Hopgood, a K9 Supervisor at BWI. "So if somebody has anything strapped to them like that or has something in their bag that they are trying to get through the check point."
The Transportation Security Administration will continue to screen your checked bags at check points. This is just an added layer of security.
