The FCC is cracking down on robocalls.
The agency proposed new rules allowing cell phone and landline phone companies to block these calls from fake phone numbers.
They conducted a test with IRS scam calls. The fake calls were reduced by 90 percent.
The FCC says implementing this process could take six months to a couple years.
