MCHENRY, Md. (AP) - Maryland's only ski resort says it's changing the name and look of its hotel near Deep Creek Lake.
The Wisp Resort in McHenry said in a statement Monday that the Wisp Resort Hotel has been renamed The Lodge at Wisp.
The new name is part of a $3.7 million renovation that began last fall and will continue into 2018.
The resort says guests will find changes inside and out, including a covered entrance, an outdoor gas fireplace and 100 fully renovated rooms in the six-story tower section of the hotel.
Sixty-nine rooms in the three-story lodge section have new mattresses and will be renovated by spring 2018.
The resort is owned by EPR Properties, a real-estate investment trust based in Kansas City, Missouri.
