BALTIMORE — Officials said an off-duty Baltimore Police officer was involved in an accident Monday morning in East Baltimore.

WMAR-2 News Mark Roper was on the scene of the crash in front of the Royal Farms on Pulaski Highway near Debelius Avenue, where authorities said the crash happened at 3:29 a.m.

It's unclear as to what caused the crash. The off-duty officer was riding his motorcycle at the time of the accident. Baltimore Police said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.

Authorities tell WMAR-2 News that the officer was taken to Shock Trauma with a leg injury and is listed in good condition.
