TOWSON, Md. — The 47th lighting of the Baltimore County Christmas Tree will be held Friday evening.
The near half-century long tradition will kick off at 6 pm.
Amid COVID-19, some things this year will run a little differently.
The Winter Wonderland which starts on Washington Avenue, then down Allegheny to York Road will be drive-thru.
As always, lit trees and inflatables will line the street along with visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Grinch, Frosty the snowman and others.
If you get hungry, treats from local restaurants will also be handed out.
Members of the Baltimore County Police and Fire Departments will be on hand with health care workers, as the county honors first responders.
