PARKVILLE, Md. — Tap. Tap. Plump. Plump

That's the sound Sandy Whiton makes in her Parkville home.

She is pounding the pandemic. Today, she is playing "Highway to Hell" by ACDC. We asked her, "Sandy, have you ever heard of ACDC?' "No, but its about me. Highway to Hell."

Sandy can barely make to the AC. She has a barking knee. At 82, she is just a tad older than the Rolling Stones Charlie Watts and she just made it through breast cancer surgery.

Her granddaughter, Shannon McMillian lives a couple blocks away and wanted to help her out. She got a laundry basket from the Dollar Store. Blew up her big ball she used while pregnant.

Now, all she needed was drumsticks. She drives down Joppa Road to the Guitar Center, runs into Nick Gulley. Shannon explains the situation and Nick out of the kindness of his heart hands over four drumsticks. Shannon goes out into her car and cries. Thinking of how nice a gesture this was.

The next day she goes to grandmas and Sandy takes those sticks and starts pounding the pandemic. Shannon says she has noticed a big difference. She's happy.

Sandy says she is having so much fun and she is getting better banging out her favorite tunes.
