ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY — An Anne Arundel County mother created "Happy Totes," to help children in need.

The non-profit organization was started by Nina Thompson almost two years ago and donates tote bags to kids going through difficult times. Each tote is filled with a stuffed animal and blanket and given to a child that might be sick, homeless or living in foster care.

If you would like to request a tote for a child in need or donate a $10 bag, go to happytotes.org. Donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.
