BALTIMORE — Art with a Heart is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a landmark gift to Baltimore City. It is currently constructing an eight by six foot heart sculpture that will be installed in downtown Baltimore this summer.
Due to the pandemic, more than 1,000 volunteers are creating the sculpture together but apart. Volunteers from Baltimore and beyond have made unique clay hearts with messages of hope, prayer and inspiration that will be fastened onto the sculpture. The heart will become Art with a Heart's most engaging piece of public art the visual arts non profit has ever produced.
Art with a Heart plans to unveil the sculpture in June of 2021. It will be on permanent display on Pratt Street near Charles Street. To learn more about how Art with a Heart makes a difference in the community, go to https://www.artwithaheart.net/.
