BALTIMORE COUNTY — A Baltimore County girl used her birthday to help kids have a better Christmas.
Instead of receiving gifts, Kiersten Rurka, a 7th grader at St. James Academy, collected donations for Toys For Toys. It is a tradition she started when she was just 4 years old.
Kiersten was able to donate $200 worth of toys to the organization and hopes other children will follow suit and use their birthday to help other kids.
