Cardinal Shehan School students are celebrating Thanksgiving by showing thanks with planks

BALTIMORE — Students at Cardinal Shehan School in Baltimore are participating in a 30-day Planksgiving Challenge.

As each child performs a daily plank, which is an exercise that requires holding yourself in a pushup position, they tell their classmates what they are thankful for.

Mrs. Pistorio, the school's Health Fitness Nutrition teacher, came up with the idea. Her students are enjoying the assignment and are most thankful for God, family, friends and school. Even though it can be tough to hold a plank, the students power through to recognize their blessings. They are most thankful for God, family, friends and school.
