BALTIMORE — Thousands of Marylanders remain out of work because of the pandemic. It has put major stress of local foods banks, including The Patrick Hipkins Food Outreach.

Andrea Jones operates the program to carry on the legacy of her grandfather who started feeding families in need in Baltimore City and Baltimore County more than 15 years ago.

She works tirelessly to make sure no one is left behind. Andrea shops and picks up donations from Shop Rite and Giant and distributes food to churches, organizations and neighorhoods before her work day as a community site specialist at Vanguard Collegiate Middle School begins.

She is also a member of the Maryland Army National Guard.
