WESTMINSTER, CARROLL COUNTY — The Shepherd's Staff has been helping families in need in Carroll County since 1989. The organization runs solely on donations from the community and is hoping you will support its one of its biggest fundraisers, Empty Bowls, that gives you the opportunity to sample soup from a variety of restaurants.
“A simple meal of soup, bread and water, and a handcrafted bowl to take home as a reminder of those whose bowls remain empty,” Brenda Meadows, the Executive Director of The Shepherd's Staff said.
The culinary adventure begins on March 21st. For $30, you will be given a ceramic bowl to keep and a punch ticket that you can use at nearly 20 different restaurants. If you complete the soup tour by the end of May, you will be entered into three different raffles for restaurant gift cards.
