BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Police are looking for a suspect in a Fells Point shooting that injured five people.
Police got a call around 1:15am on June 13 in the 700 block of South Broadway Street.
When they got on scene they found two 28-year-old women and another 27-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to an area hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
A little bit later police were called to area hospitals for walk-in shooting victims. A 28-year-old male and 21-year-old male told police they were shot at the South Broadway Street incident.
“I share the frustrations of many in our community and local leaders over the shooting in Fells Point last night,” Police Commissioner Harrison said back in June. “What we saw was a gunman who had no regard for human life and fired indiscriminately on a crowd of young people. The Police Department will continue to work with other City agencies, community members, and our law enforcement partners to address gatherings of crowds throughout the city.”
Southeast District-Shooting detectives assumed control of the investigation. Through the course of their investigation, detectives learned that the shooting happened after an altercation between the man shooting victim and the suspect.
On July 1, detectives obtained an arrest warrant after positively identifying the suspect, 21 year-old Kyle Thomas of Northeast Baltimore.
Thomas is being charged with five counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder as well as related assault and firearm violations.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Thomas is urged to contact Warrant Apprehension Detectives at 410-637-8970 or simply dial 911.
