Dockless scooter, bike companies to pay Baltimore to operate in city

Bird and Lime, will pay Baltimore $15,000, plus a dollar a day for each dockless scooter both companies are set to deploy during a six-month pilot program in the city, according to an agreement approved Wednesday at the city's Board of Estimates Meeting.

Each company will maintain no more than 1,000 dockless scooters and bikes during the trial period.

The pilot program runs through the end of February.
