Cute photos of pets can bring a positive feeling.
A new study says those photos can also improve satisfaction with married couples.
Researchers from Florida State University found spouses who saw images of their partner paired with photos of "positive stimuli" like puppies, had more positive attitudes towards them.
The study was designed to help couples physically apart from one another -- such as those in the military.
The researchers say they were surprised by the findings because they didn't think puppies could generate enough positive emotions to overcome what is going on with the couple.
