ESSEX, Md. — A person associated with Essex Elementary School recently tested positive for COVID-19, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.
The news comes as many families were at the school on October 7, to pick up Kindergarten bags and yearbooks.
Everyone who had close contact with the infected person has been notified, and will remain off campus until cleared to return.
The building has since been sanitized.
Two days after the event, the school sent out a letter to Essex Elementary School families notifying them of the situation.
