ORLANDO, Fla. — November is here and with that comes Thanksgiving Day then followed by endless holiday parties.

A little eggnog here, some cheeseballs there … it all adds up. But you can still enjoy it all … just be prepared to up your workout regime. Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams, macaroni and cheese, dressing … bring it on!

According to calorie control council, the average American eats nearly five thousand calories on just Thanksgiving Day alone! So how do work it off? A turkey leg is over 300 calories.

But 30 minutes of jumping rope can eliminate that calorie count. If you eat a half cup of sweet potato casserole, you will need to spin for18 minutes. And don’t forget mashed potatoes and gravy.

Together they equal over 150 calories but just 50 burpees and 30 minutes of weight training can burn that off. Finally beware of dessert: if you eat just one slice of pumpkin pie that could be over 300 calories.

But if you do just an hour of yoga that could nullify your sweet tooth.

Keeping you on track and enjoying your food. If you are looking to start getting into the Christmas spirit, enjoy a half cup of eggnog to cap off the night. But when you finish do CrossFit for 13 minutes to burn it back off.
