BALTIMORE — Dozens of pets dressed in costume participated in a Fourth of July parade on Thursday as the annual July 4th Visionary Pets-on-Parade and Talent Show took place.

"We think that the best way to celebrate Independence Day is by celebrating our interdependence on things that bring us the most love, the creatures that teach us a lot, love us whether they have scales, feathers or fur. This celebration is the celebration of that love," said Rebecca Hoffberger of American Visionary Art museum.

The parade was put on by the museum and featured dogs, cats and their owners donned in their patriotic best.
