WASHINGTON, D.C. — If you had a boy in 2018, there's a good chance you named him Liam, Noah or William. If you had a girl, she's probably named Emma, Olivia or Ava.

Those were the most popular baby names last year, according to a release from the Social Security Administration. Other popular boys names included James, Oliver, Benjamin, Elijah, Lucas, Mason and Logan, while Isabella, Sophia, Charlotte, Mia, Amelia, Harper and Evelyn rounded out the girls list.

Jacob and Abigail fell out of the top 10 list for the first time since 1992 and 2000.

The Social Security Administration began compiling the baby name list in 1997, and has lists going back to 1880.
