BALTIMORE — A 9-year-old girl is in critical condition after police say she accidentally shot herself in Northwest Baltimore Saturday afternoon.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the shooting happened as the girl was visiting her grandmother's home in the 3500 block of Ingleside Avenue.
"All indications are the young lady got a hold of a weapon that was unsecured and shot herself," said Worley.
Detectives are unsure if the girl was alone inside the home at the time of the shooting.
