Shelter-in-place lifted in Overlea after shots fired during stolen car chase

Update - 9/17/24:

Baltimore County Police say last night's shelter in place was related to a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

The car was later spotted in Nottingham, at which point two suspects inside tried bailing.

During a foot chase, police say one suspect fired a gun.

Two suspects were eventually taken into custody. It's unclear if the alleged shooter was among those caught.

No one was struck by gunfire.

Baltimore County Police have lifted the shelter-in-place in Overlea.

Two suspects are in police custody.

Around 9:30 pm, Baltimore County Police took to X alerting residents to remain indoors after reports of shots being fired in the area.

Specifically those living along Rossville Boulevard, Fitch Avenue, and Belair Road were impacted.

At this time, there are no reported injuries.
