REISTERTOWN — A 65-year-old man from Reisterstown has been missing for several weeks, and his family is turning to the public for help in locating him. Carl Echols, who was last seen at his home on January 31st, has left his loved ones searching for answers.
Breana Echols, Carl’s daughter, drove over an hour to the WMAR-2 News station, hoping to get the word out to the community and gather any information that could help find her father.

“We’re running into roadblocks trying to figure out where he could’ve gone,” Breana told WMAR 2 News.
Carl’s birthday was on Monday, but his daughter says they have heard nothing from him and are becoming increasingly worried. “His birthday was this past Monday, so we would’ve been on the phone talking about baseball this coming season,” said Breana.
According to the Black and Missing Foundation, Carl has been missing for nearly three weeks. His family is especially alarmed, as Carl’s disappearance is completely out of character.
“Me and my family are very concerned because this is not normal—not hearing from him for such a long period of time,” said Breana.
Carl has not been to work at the Kohl’s warehouse in Edgewood, and his weekly Friday morning fellowship has also been missed. “They told us that they had last seen him at work, which was on the 18th of January,” said Breana, adding that the situation has left the family feeling stuck with no leads.
Additionally, Carl’s phone is turned off, making communication even more difficult.
Breana explained that her father often took public transportation and frequented local spots such as Wegmans and CAVA on Reisterstown Road. He was also known to spend time at the local library, utilizing its resources or simply enjoying the space.
Despite a few health concerns in the past, Breana says there were no significant mental or physical health issues that she was aware of. She spoke to her father just a week before his disappearance, making his sudden vanishing all the more concerning.
“For anybody, if you have any information about him, whether it’s recent, like in the last month, or if you’ve seen him, that would be a lot of help. I would love for everybody to share,” Breana said, urging the community to come forward with any possible leads.
Carl Echols is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, and having brown eyes.
If you have any information regarding Carl’s whereabouts, please contact the Baltimore County Police Department.
The Echols family remains hopeful that the community’s support will help bring Carl home safely.
