BALTIMORE — Detectives are currently investigating the discovery of a decomposed body on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to the 1400 block of Exeter Hall Avenue for reports of dead body that was found.
When they arrived they located an unidentified body in a wooded area within Coldstream Park.
Neighbors in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood said they were surprised to hear about the discovery.
"I'm absolutely shocked, I've lived in this neighborhood for about 6 or 7 months now and everyone is super friendly and very welcoming and literally, I mean, I come outside at all different hours of the night. So, to think that somebody passed away and is basically rotting back there is just absolutely astonishing," said neighbor Chomi Kani-Goba.
The Medical Examiner took possession of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The investigation is still ongoing.
