Digital Harbor High School lockdown lifted following armed person scare

BALTIMORE — Digital Harbor High School in South Baltimore was placed on lockdown Thursday morning over concerns of someone armed inside the building.

Following a search, police found no weapon, allowing for the lockdown to be lifted effective 11:05am.

All students and staff are safe, according to City School officials.

"We will always take threats seriously to make sure our students and staff are safe," the school system said in a statement. "We will have counselors in the building to support students who are feeling distressed."

No specific details on the threat were revealed.
