LANSDOWNE, Md. — Baltimore County Police say that the lockout status was caused by a discharging in the area.
Two teens have been placed by the Department of Juvenile Services as a result.
Detectives say all those responsible for possessing the ghost gun are now in custody.
At 2:40 p.m., officers were called to the unit block of Silerton Road for reports of shots fired.
When they arrived they located a juvenile male, who is not currently a Baltimore County Public School student, suffering from a gunshot wound to the hand. His is expected to survive.
The age of the victim has not been released at this time.
Three schools were placed on lockout status following the shooting out of an abundance of caution.
Although the shooting did not happen on school property, officers stayed on scene while students were dismissing,
Police say they are still investigating the circumstances that led up to the incident.
