BALTIMORE — Baltimore City wrapped the year 2024 with 201 homicides, down 60 from 2023.
InJanuary 2025, Baltimore police reported 13 murders.
Since September 2020, WMAR-2 News has tracked daily murders and shootings each month in the city.
Here is February 2025:
2/26 - 8:41pm: Cameron Kelly, 16, was shot to death in the unit block of N. Bruce Street.
2/25 - 4:42pm: A 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 3300 block of Greenmount Avenue. He was taken to a local hospital.
2/24 - 8:36pm: An unidentified male was shot in the 4000 block of Frederick Avenue. He was taken to a local hospital.
2/24 - 1:29am: A 25-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of Lucia Avenue. He's expected to survive.
2/23 - 6:08pm: Celvin Olivares-Portillo, 20, was shot and killed in the 4400 block of Eastern Avenue.
2/23 - 5:31pm: Two men, identified as 28-year-old Sae'Quan Newton, and Diontavis Whitfield, 23, were shot and killed in the 3600 block of Potee Street.
2/23 - 12:28am: Eric Carter, 30, was shot and killed in the 600 block of Poplar Grove Street.
2/20 - 11:28pm: A 22-year-old showed up at a family member's home with a gunshot would and was taken to the hospital. A crime scene hasn't been located.
2/20 - 11:07am: Clyde Barnes, 79, was shot and killed in his apartment at a senior home on the 100 block of N Central Ave. A 72-year-old man was also shot and is expected to survive. Norman Waker, 65, was arrested and charged shortly afterward.
2/17 - 9:48pm: A 30-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 4800 block of Curtis Avenue. He is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
2/16 - 9:05pm: A 38-year-old woman was shot in the 2400 block of Tidewater Street. She is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
2/16 - 3:55pm: A 40 year old man was shot in the 400 block of South Augusta Avenue. He is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
2/15 - 8:50pm: A 41-year-old man died after being shot in the 1800 block of Montford Avenue.
2/15 - 3:30pm: Francisco Cuffey, 33, was shot and killed in the 6100 block of Plantview Way.
2/13 - 7:39pm: A 22-year-old man was shot in the 800 block of Bethune Road. He is receiving treatment at a local hospital.
2/12 - 7:49 pm: A 25-year-old man was shot in the 3800 block of Leadenhall Street. He his receiving treatment at a local hospital.
2/10- 2:45pm: A 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 3100 block of Shanon Drive. He is receiving treatment in an area hospital.
2/5 - 11:59am: A 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the area of West North Avenue and Fulton Avenue. His injuries are non-life-threatening.
2/4 - 4:28pm: A 22-year-old man was shot in the 900 block of N. Eden Street. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
2/4 - 1:58pm: A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in the 5700 block of Northwood Drive. His condition is unknown.
2/2 - 3:15pm: Troy Kavanaugh, 37, died after being shot multiple times in the 2500 block of E. Biddle Street.
