Firefighters perform aerial rescue for crane operator having medical emergency

BALTIMORE — Baltimore City firefighters rescued a crane operator having a medical emergency Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the 2500 block of Insulator Drive in South Baltimore around 10:30 a.m.

Rescue teams performed an aerial rescue on the operator, who was 180 feet in the air.

Officials say the crane operator was found to be in cardiac arrest. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
