BALTIMORE — Four officers were injured in Baltimore Tuesday morning.
This happened around 10:38 a.m., while officers were on the scene of an assault in the 200 block of North Highland Avenue.
They were flagged down by a 17-year-old that said he had just been assaulted and gave officers a description of the suspect.
Police say when they found the suspect, he took a fighting stance and said he wasn't going anywhere.
He attempted to run from officers and during the chase, he punched an officer. Despite being tazed and hit with mace, the suspect continued to resist and assault officers.
The suspect, later identified as Bryant Allen, continued to fight off officers until they were able to get him in shackles.
Four officers, the 17-year-old victim and Allen were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Allen will be arrested and charged after he is discharged from the hospital, police say.
The officers were injured while trying to take a 29-year-old man into custody.
All four officers and the suspect were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
