BALTIMORE — Guinness Baltimore Blonde beer is leaving Maryland.
According to a Diageo spokesperson, "the supplier that best met the business case and production timeline was FX Matt Brewing Company in New York."
Despite moving to New York, the name of the beer will still be Baltimore Blonde.
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery will remain open to brew other beers.
In May, FX Matt Brewing announced it was acquiring Flying Dog

Flying Dog will shift all production to New York by August
In the future FX Matt Brewing said it intends to open a Flying Dog taproom in Frederick that will include an "innovation brewery."
Duclaw Brewing in Baltimore County also announced it will be moving production out of state.
It was acquired by River Horse Brewing Company out of Ewing, New Jersey earlier this month.
While they are combining facilities each brand will still be managed separately.
