BALTIMORE — Hundreds of kids in our area have new bikes thanks to free Bikes 4 Kidz.
The nonprofit gathers old and unwanted bikes throughout the year.
In the fall, they refurbish them, fixing broken tires or steering wheels.
The group then gives them away at a big event right before the holidays.
In the last five years, the program has given away nearly 10,000 bikes.
