ESSEX — An overnight barricade that lasted into Wednesday afternoon has come to an end.
Baltimore County Police were called sometime after 3:30am to a home on West Road in Essex.
A resident there was reportedly threatening to take their own life.
Baltimore County Police call off Essex barricade
Despite police insisting there was no threat to the public, they did for a period of time ask neighborhood residents to stay inside.
The individual inside the home refused to speak with officers, prompting them to declare a barricade situation.
Around 1:30pm police called off the barricade. No other details on the incident were released.
