BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Friday at the intersection of North Carey and Laurens Street.
In a press conference, Police Commissioner Richard Worley said that the shooting happened just before 9 p.m. when officers patrolling the area heard gunshots nearby.
When officers got to the scene, they discovered two suspects fleeing out of the 57 Liquors, heading west.
When officers got inside the liquor store, they discovered a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Worley says that in addition to backup being called, a police helicopter was also following the suspects' movements.
One suspect was arrest, the other suspect is still at large.

The police commissioner also says that the initial shooting did not appear to have stemmed from a robbery.
As of reporting, Worley says that it is believed that one officer fired off several shots in the direction of the suspects. However, it is unclear whether any of those shots made contact.
Two guns were recovered from the crime scene.
No officers were hurt during the altercation.
