GREENBELT, Md. — A scooter rider is dead after colliding with a tractor-trailer on I-495 near the Baltimore Washington Parkway in Prince George's County.
Maryland State Police said it happened Friday afternoon on the southbound side.
All but one lane was closed initially, but it appears the scene has since cleared up.
There is no official word on the cause. The name of the scooter operator was not released.
